Help launching your product, from idea to paying users

Most new products don't fail because of code. They fail because they solve the wrong problem, ship too late, or launch to nobody. I've launched products as a co-founder and as a founding engineer, so I work on all three: what to build, how to build it, and how people will find it.

This is for you if

  • You have an idea and need someone to turn it into a real product
  • You're a non-technical founder looking for technical leadership without hiring a full team
  • You've talked about the product for months and want a first version live
  • You started building with no-code or AI tools and hit the limits

What you get

A clear first version
A written scope of the smallest product that proves the idea, what's in and what's deliberately out.
Validation with real people
User interviews and quick prototypes before big build decisions, so the money goes to the right thing.
A production-ready MVP
Built on a stack that can grow: Rails, Next.js, Supabase or AWS, chosen for your case, not my habits.
A launch plan
Landing page, SEO foundations, analytics and the first channels to reach your users.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Intro call

We talk through the idea, the users and the constraints. Free, 30 minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Shape

One to two weeks of interviews, scoping and a written plan with cost and timeline.

  3. Step 3

    Build

Weekly releases you can click through, so there are no surprises.

  4. Step 4

    Launch and learn

Go live, measure what users do, and decide the next step together.

Products I've launched

TracklistFinder

Turns any YouTube DJ set into a Spotify playlist in one click.

DJ sets and live mixes on YouTube rarely come with a usable tracklist. Fans end up scrolling comments and searching tracks one by one.

What I did

  • Found the problem in music communities, then shipped a first version in weeks, not months
  • Built LLM parsing that pulls track names out of messy titles, descriptions and comments
  • Designed the Spotify flow so a playlist is one click away
  • Owned growth: technical SEO, content and visibility in AI assistants

Results

  • Over 150% growth in the last 30 days
  • 5,000+ sets uploaded
  • 150+ registered accounts
  • Ranks high on Google and is recommended by AI assistants

Technical co-founderB2B SaaS, Australia, three co-founders

Old Mates Advice

A video-consultation platform for Australian businesses doing house inspections, electrification and home upgrades.

Home-services businesses lose hours driving to first visits that a short video call could handle, and the insight from those calls was lost.

What I did

  • Co-founded the company with two Australian founders, working remotely from the Netherlands
  • Designed and built the entire platform myself, from architecture to deployment
  • Shaped the roadmap and took part in the business decisions
  • Ran a delivery rhythm that worked across a large time-zone gap

Results

  • Full SaaS platform shipped end to end by one engineer
  • Co-owned product and business decisions, not just the code
  • Worked as one team across continents and time zones

Granino

Helps specialty-coffee lovers find beans, cafés and roasters that match their taste.

Specialty coffee is full of choice and jargon. Enthusiasts struggle to find the next bag they will actually enjoy.

What I did

  • Co-founded with my sister, a product designer
  • Ran user interviews with specialty-coffee enthusiasts before writing much code
  • Turned interview insight into a focused feature set and taste model
  • Built the web platform and the mobile app, now close to release

Results

  • Strong early feedback from interviewed users
  • Web platform live; mobile app launching soon
  • Product decisions grounded in real conversations, not assumptions

Common questions

How long does it take to launch an MVP?

Most first versions I build go live in 6 to 12 weeks. The shaping phase makes this predictable: you get a timeline before the build starts.

Do you work as a technical co-founder?

Sometimes. I co-founded Old Mates Advice and Granino. For client work I usually start with a fixed project and we can discuss a longer partnership once we know each other.

Will I own the code?

Yes. Everything is in your accounts and repositories from day one.

What if I don't know exactly what I want yet?

That's normal and it's what the shaping phase is for. We'll turn a rough idea into a concrete first version together.
